A straight answer on your data.

What we collect, why we collect it, and what we never do with it. Written to be read, not scrolled past.

Who we are

Practical Intelligence builds custom AI systems for enterprises. This policy covers practicalintelligence.com and the information you share with us directly. If anything here is unclear, email us and a person will answer.

What we collect

  • What you send us. Your name, work email, company, and whatever you choose to include when you email us or book a discovery call.
  • Scheduling. Discovery calls are booked through our scheduling provider (Cal.com), which collects your name, email, and meeting time so the call lands on both calendars.
  • Hosting logs. This site runs on Vercel. Like any host, it keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) used to serve the site and keep it secure.
  • The brief. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we keep your email to send it. Tell us to stop and we stop.

What we don’t collect

No advertising trackers. No analytics cookies. No pixels following you around the internet. There’s no cookie banner on this site because there’s nothing to consent to.

How we use it

To answer you, to scope and run engagements, and to send you the brief if you asked for it. That’s the list.

Client data is a different category

Data we touch while auditing or building for you is governed by your engagement contract and NDA, which are stricter than this policy. It is never used to train shared models, and the intelligence we build on it stays yours. Our Security page covers how we handle it.

What we never do

  • Sell your information. To anyone, ever.
  • Share it with advertisers or data brokers.
  • Use your data to train shared models.

Who we share it with

The service providers that run our business: Google Workspace for email, Cal.com for scheduling, Vercel for hosting. They process your information to provide those services to us, nothing more. Beyond that, we share information only if the law requires it.

Retention and your rights

We keep correspondence for as long as we have a live conversation or a working relationship. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us todelete it: email us and we’ll do it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes get called out on this page, not buried.
